Let's get this year started with some fresh air and keep those germs at bay with some sunshine (fingers crossed, I'm looking at you La Nina). We usually bring our giant club picnic blanket for all to share, but this year, we will encourage our families to BYO rug, drinks and snacks and let's carry on, shall we?!   Best access is from Katoa Street, but there is limited parking there.  Drive-thru coffee nearby at McDonalds or Zarraffas, or a short walk through the park to Francis Bean on Mari Street (which has more car parking). Just look for the double prams (and check our Facebook page on the day for a photo so you can find us!)

Join us for an informal event to meet other expecting families and have your most pressing questions answered! The club is offering cuppas, some snacks and a goodie bag for all attendees, plus we will have our stash of free baby clothes to dig through and a baby carrier demonstration for any members who may want to learn about twin-babywearing.  We'll also have some info about birth, feeding, sleep, car seats, prams and all of the real-life practicalities that come with multiples. The club is shouting every club member a coffee to chat and check in for RUOK Day. Come any time you can squeeze in between nap times. We'll have a big picnic rug for the little ones, and the park is fenced with a toilet for the older kids. Please grab a free ticket so we can organise the coffees.

Our biggest event is back on... again...  Bring the kids, big and small, for an early session at Chipmunks! The Mons venue cancelled our booking due to Covid restrictions, but we have decided the show must go on. Join us for breakfast and free entry to this fabulous indoor play centre.  There will be fruit platters, pastries, buns and juice for everyone.  Parents can purchase their coffee fix from the cafe.  The play centre has something for everyone, from little babies right up to school age kids.  Children must wear socks to enter. A year's free membership is up for grabs as our lucky door prize.   We really hope you can make it to our re-rescheduled event. EVENT CANCELLED Our biggest event is back on...  Bring the kids, big and small, to the Mons Playgroup centre for an afternoon of food, fun, facepainting and more. There will be a ball pit and bubble machine as well as the indoor play space open for the younger children.  We've hired a jumping castle and face painter for the older ones.  We'll open the sand pit and play some games too.  Coffee van, afternoon tea and an early pizza dinner to hit the spot for our parents. There's something for everyone - even our expecting parents!   A year's free membership is up for grabs as our lucky door prize.   We really hope you can make it to our rescheduled event. 

EVENT POSTPONED As we have had no bookings for this date, we will try to run another event next month.  Stay tuned for details   We have booked a tentative time and date for the next expectant parents session.   SCMBA tries to tailor the event to suit as many of our expecting families as possible, so please contact us if this time doesn't suit you and we can try to re-arrange the booking. The Sunshine Coast MBA is hosting an informal morning tea to meet our newest members, to share information and give opportunities to ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere.  We can share info about pregnancy, birth, feeding, sleep, car seats, prams and cots.  Bring a list of any questions you want answered! New members will receive a welcome pack and we will have our stash of premmie and newbown clothing donations available for you to take home.  The club also has special twin baby carriers for hire, that we can demonstrate on the day.

The club is hosting a casual catch-up for our newer members with bubs under the age of one. Join us anytime between 10 and 12.  It's hard to schedule around naps, but if you can come, even for half an hour right at the end, we'd love to see you. SCMBA is working really hard to provide opportunities for members to meet each other, to create space for the conversations between parents who really understand life with multiples.  Our President Jasmin van den Berg will be there sans-children, so if you are worried about doing it on your own, she will be there to lend a hand. Our one and only child-free event of the year - one not to be missed! Sunshine Coast Multiple Birth Association is hosting our annual Mother's Day event. We're hosting an informal catch-up for our expecting parents.  Come along for some tea and bikkies and meet other families who are entering the multi-verse! This is your time to socialise before babies arrive, and also learn some of the answers to the burning questions about multiple births. There will be a very short talk on topics such as birth, feeding and sleeping options, plus a chat about prams, cots and car seats. Please bring a list of any questions you want answered.  There is a toilet handy, ramp access to the building and we welcome any small people who need to come too xx

Join us for playgroup! Always a very informal event to meet other families of multiples, we gather in the creche room to let the kids have a play and debrief with other parents who understand the challenges of multi-life. BYO morning tea, there is a coffee shop outside the door, plenty of parking, wide doors for double prams and it's an all-weather venue.    See you there!
